“ The MV Steve Irwin 77 Sea Shepherd has been retired after service ten years defending protecting and conserving the oceans and the lives that rely on them, including ours! A not for profit, Ship4Good Inc now navigates the ship new mission of Raising awareness through, education, culture and wellbeing for the preservation of the ocean and wildlife.
The majority of museum ships are dedicated to war ships. The MV Steve Irwin has embarked on more ‘missions’ than any ship
museum globally. The majority of those missions, to protect Australia's environment, the ship should be recognised a ‘war hero’ ‘MV Steve Irwin’s campaigns; to fight a war of our time, to fight for ecological sustainability, biodiversity and
habitat protection. With a dedicated ‘conservation precinct’ the ships mission can continue with the education and inspiration for conservation. “
