PLANET ACTION

In 2005 ANIMAL PLANET TV in association with

WORLD WILD FOUNDS  Foundation produced an eco-reality TV series to be broadcast internationally. They received thousands of applications to participate in this series.

The project chose 7 young people from around the globe with various skills to travel to different continents facing problems with endangered species and environmental devastation. The team worked hard in repairing the specific environmental problems in each location. These episodes showed that no matter who we are, we can all contribute to the rehabilitation of the environment and the survival of the earth.

BEACH PATROL ST KILDA

We are a local community group who care about the litter that gets onto St Kilda Beach and into Port Phillip Bay.
We meet on a monthly basis to conduct a clean up of litter on St Kilda beach and heighten public awareness of the litter problem.

FLYREBIRD PREPARES FOR THE MOOMBA BIRDMAN RALLY

2011

I am Flyrebird, the spiritual spokesbird of the forest. The homes of my kin are being destroyed by the felling of native forests. Paper company - Australian Paper, makers of Reflex, are responsible for destroying what's left of Victorian native forests.

DO NOT BUY REFLEX PAPER! If you have to print on paper, I want you to help me by only purchasing 100% post consumer recycled paper, to save the homes of my birds and my other wildlife neighbours.

My first public appearance will be at the Moomba Festival 2011 Birdman Rally.I have joined forces with The Wilderness Society and Friends of the Earth to broadcast this message across the globe to let everyone know what's really going on with Victoria's native forests. Join us on the banks of the Yarra River at Birrarung Marr (near Federation Square) Melbourne, Australia from 11a.m on Sunday March 13th and watch me try to fly across the Yarra River.
